History
Brief:
This land was part of Middletown and known as The Three Mile Division. Settlement began about 1710. In 1776, the East Hampton Society was established. In 1767 this part of Middletown east of the CT River was incorporated as the town of Chatham. On 4 May 1915 the town�s name reverted to East Hampton. Town vital records begin 1750.
