CSG LITERARY AWARDS
For the 20th consecutive year, the Connecticut Society of Genealogists
this May announced the Literary

This also marked the beginning of our 21st annual competition for writers
in the following categories:
1) “Genealogy” ($1,000 Grand Prize)
2) “Family History” ($500 First Prize)
3) “Genealogical Resource" ($500 First Prize)
4) "Fledgling Essay" ($250 First Prize)
Entry is not restricted to CSG members. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to submit a publication for evaluation in the categories of “Genealogy”, “Family History”, and “Genealogical Resource”; entries must have been published in or after 1998. Please note that CSG staff and current CSG Governors are excluded from participating. Entries will be evaluated on a variety of criteria including structure, content, quality of sources and New England relevance. The "Fledgling Essay" is open to any student in Grades 9-12 except for relatives of CSG staff and current CSG Governors.
All entries will be permanently retained in our Library and will be
available to anyone who visits CSG’s office and Library. Winners will
be notified by April 1, 2008. Prizes will be presented at CSG’s Annual
Meeting in May 2008.
